HTML is a basic language for web no website can be built without using it. Website like facebook, twitter, google, youtube and many others use HTML although these websites uses programming languages like javascript, ruby, python, perl, java, GO, c/c++, erlang but HTML is used to structure the website's content like where the heading should be where to start a new paragraph where to put images, links and so on.
